Over
the years, Xing has developed a specialized and comprehensive dance fitness
class to educate individuals regarding their bodies and the care required to
lead and sustain a healthy and fit lifestyle.
Ballet Bootcamp
Wednesday 6:30-8:00pm; Saturday 11:00am-12:30pm ($20)
Ballet
Bootcamp incorporates tough muscle toning with ballet-oriented cardio. From
basic push-ups and sit-ups to elegant chassés and arabesques you’re sure to
develop a lean strong body. This unique workout offers a carried, flowing mixture
of stretches created to lengthen muscles, increase flexibility and release
tight joints. This class also emphasizes the natural rhythms of fall and
recovery and the interplay between weight and weightlessness to provide dancers
with an organic approach to movement that easily adapts to a range of
choreographic styles. This energizing and strengthening workout will help you
to build your centre of power and develop your body’s core muscle groups.
By
taking this class, you will elongate and strengthen your entire body, forming
the foundation for enhanced dance techniques, fitness and athletic performance.
Elementary familiarity with dance forms is recommended, but not a requirement.
Asian Movement
Friday 6:00-7:30pm ($20)
This
class works on body alignment and core strength using Asian inspired movements
fused with ballet, yoga and Pilates techniques. You will experience a
free, expressive grounded style of movement that uses proper technique to
strengthen both mentally and physically. You will learn how to do things the
right way to help support your structure as well as increase your flexibility
and knowledge of injury prevention.
By
taking this class you will experience a flowing mixture of stretches from
multiple positions designed to increase flexibility, open joints, and lengthen
muscles with modification alternatives for every fitness level.
Strength Training
Monday 6:30-8:00pm ($25)
This
class incorporates ballet, yoga and Pilates based movements for a continuous
fat burning workout. Feel long, lean and strong! This class will take you
through core, balance and toning exercises for an increased fat burning class.
This
class is appropriate for all levels of fitness enthusiasts. It will combine the
mental, physical, and breathing disciplines that are associated with Yoga and
Pilates which will build strength, improve flexibility, and reduce stress.
Xing offers drop in classes to allow for a
more flexible option for individuals who have unpredictable schedules.
You don't need to pre register, call ahead, or pre pay for these
classes. Just show up!
